Headed out sunday morning for the Diamond Mines!!!

Another 2+ carat yellow diamond was found at Crater of Diamonds park in Murfreesboro Arkansas! That makes two good stones within two weeks.
The other was a 4+ carat, canary yellow diamond. Found by a retired police officer. Go to Arkansas.com home page for pictures.
Thats it!! I'm heading out sunday morning, I'll arrive down there sometime monday, pitch camp, and spend a couple of days playing in the mud and dirt, looking for MY diamond. Then head back north, hopefully with a stone of some sort or other.
I am taking a couple of detectors along, just in case I pass a beach thats crying to be hunted.
Got my van tent, TV, microwave, cell phone, a good book. Cooler for treats. I'm ready to roll.
AH, Retirement is so neat, just pick up and go whenever I want.
Wish me luck folks, I'll try to get some pictures of the area down there to post.:detecting::jump::thumbup:

Saw the family on Today Show with the yellow diamond.

Have a great time and give us all the details on your adventure!

Bottomfeeder,

Good luck with the diamond hunting, that sounds real exciting and I am glad you are really enjoying the retirement.

I am still working (didn't tell the boss he needed an attitude adjustment) before I got up the nerve too retire he asked me to take a higher paying job with a little less work so maybe another year now before I hang it up!

Looks to me like a good area for a vacation. Plenty of lakes nearby, lots of fishing.
I don't think Arkansas allows detector hunting, I'll try to find out. But I know they allow diamond digging. Bit odd, eh???
See you all next weekend.
