Headbangers Ball and MulHollands revenge!

William Mulholland arrived in Los Angeles in the late 1800's when the population was @6000 souls....thanks to his affinity for building aquifers, theres now all sorts of people there all on account of him!...Whats this got to do with detecting you ask?

This morning, while hunting a sportsfield, bending over to stab a target, the automatic sprinkers came on...one popped up not 4' away and hit me full blast in the stomach! Soaked me immediately from the sternum to the scrotum! Got my cigarettes in my shirt pocket wet even! So that got me thinking about water pressure and irrigation as I hunted along, and that made me think of Mulholland, the most famous water piper I know...found this loot and home by 9...[attachment 313006 may11-15.jpg]

Yesterday I drove around and saw a lot of construction going on at another sportsfield...walked the perimeter and found a hole in the wall, so in I went![attachment 313007 may10-15-3.jpg]

Got under the bleachers (Headbangers ball) and made a cursory pass all over the place, F70 set with general settings, sniped up these coins in short order and went home...raining and blowing pretty hard, but the 70 suffered no ill effects once again in a pretty substantial downpour...

Lots of noise under the bleachers, sort of had to just snipe high tones and pick through it slow..maybe should have switched from DP to 4H?...Anyway, another wasted weekend gone by when I could have been in front of the television all warm and dry without a story to tell...:sadwalk:

Mud, you find some cool places to hunt. Those bleacher stands look like lots of fun to detect. What is the item next to the cross?

Don't forget you received a scrotum cleansing for free....

Mud, nice perseverance in bad weather!
But I believe that the mind wandering away from the task at hand to unrelated and trivial thoughts is the first symptom of dementia commonly know as old farts disease. !!

Some good plinking there Mud under (pun intended) hard conditions. But I agree. Even a bump on the head out detecting is better then a weekend of setting around. You will see some yellow joy. And not the yellow snow kind. (I think) HH jim tn
