hello everyone,
i have a pair of ear phones for the sovereign XS-2, would it be better if I got a pair of head phones?
which would be a decent pair?
thanks for any help,

Hi John, if you are hunting noisey enviroments like the surf or in windy conditions etc, I recommend headphones. There are a lot of brands out there, just remember they need to be comfortable to wear for long periods. I have used quite a few brands, from RPG's to Koss UR 30's. I find the Koss most comfy, although they can be a bit hot in the middle of summer. I know a lot of people recommend Gray Ghost Phones too. Also remember you are not listening to a symphony, it's more about comfort and clear crisp signal tones. I'd try the local music stores etc. Take your time on the purchase and you won't be disappointed. HH regards Nugget.:detecting:

I use Detector Pro's Grey Ghost originals and my wife uses Detector Pro's Accusound headphones. Both are high quality at reasonable prices. You can't go wrong with either set. Good luck with your decision. HH Dennis in Idaho

I'll second the Koss. Also have a set of Black Widows. What I like about both of these sets is they really block a lot of the ambient noise you get from the surf. I never realized how much of that there is until I tried a pair of phones that blocked it.
