Has anyone used the Koss QZ99 headphones with the Sovereign (GT)? The Audio 200 Headphones Kellyco sent with the detector are junk. Poorly made and ill fitting. I have a small head and have to extend the head adjustment nearly all the way out and then it puts a strain on the small diameter cable.

I have a small head as well and I found the Koss 30's even on their smallest setting I could shake off my head, I don't know about the QZ99 though . They also didn't have volume adjustments on each ear or a blast limiter. In the end I bought Sunray Pro Golds, great long curly cord, individual gradated volume controls and a blast limiter, plus the tone is great. The other headphone that people are swearing by is the Black Widows from Detector Pro- I doubt you can go wrong with either of these.

Correct , the black widows or my favorite " jolly Rogers " , they can be had for around $80 to 100 bucks .

Search around for black widow phones i use them on my sov.gt i tried a few others nothing compares to widows IMHO they block out 90% of any outside noise and the adjustment is great i am 6-5 280 lbs and have a huge head !! there is still room for further adjustment fit,s like a glove. Jim

I bought the Koss QZ99 headphones from Amazon. I really like them. They were designed with metal detectors in mind (listed on the box). They block out plenty of outside noise, the sound is clean (using with the Sov. GT) and they are equipped with a stereo/mono switch and volume control. On top of that, I found them to be very comfortable. I paid $41.99. They are currently listed at $35.
