Will be buying my new E-Trac soon and will be buying head phones with it. Any suggestions what works best with E-Trac?

Sunray pro golds, Gray Ghosts, Black widows, they all have volume control and limiters and work just great on the E Tracs & Explorers.

My Gray Ghosts sound better to me then my Killer Bees.

I have always used the Koss UR30's that come with it. I like them a lot.

I have the Accusound headphones and I really like them. Made by DetectorPro, they are comfortable and the sound is great. Plus they are fairly good at preventing outside noises from distracting you.

The Koss headphones to me were a little muffled and not quite as comfortable as the aftermarket phones in my opinion. But of course, what may be right for me may not be right for you.

Everyone has different hearing situations and one brand may not work for your situation.

Best bet is to join a metal detecting club and ask to hear what others are using. It is best to try them before you buy them.
