Head Phone question

I use a minelab musketeer advantage.. When detecting and I come acrossed a pull tab there is a slight break up in the beep.. I am wondering if the break in the signal would be more significant if I was using head phones..... In other words.. Do I get a more clear audible signal with head phones as opposed to the loud speaker?

Yes you will be able to analyze the signal better with headphones.
The external speaker is loud, but doesn't allow you to hear the subtle differences in the tone like having headphones does.

i use black widows, great headphones and very comfy for me. that is very important when u start using them . i had some sony brand stereo headphones trying to get away cheap but after 30 min. or so my ears felt like they were in a vice. good luck out there.
