Head phone adapter

Where can I get a 1/4" plug adapter for the AT gold and will the one that came with the detector come apart to to work with a 1/4" plug

Don't know about the "come apart to work" part of your question, but the adapters can be purchased from any forum dealer that sells Garrett detectors. The adapter connection is water proof, so the adapter is the way to go. HH jim tn

You have to y the Garrett adaptor for the machine. Comes to fit a quarter inch plug. You can but headphones with a volume control or you can but a 1/8" extension with volume control at Radio Shack and use headphones or earbuds with a 1/8 plug on them.
