He was beaten within an inch of his life..................

I was feeding this Grackle Bird and a few others some chicken scratch on the railing of our patio deck when two stranger Grackle Birds showed up and attacked him. He was beaten pretty bad by the time I came to his aid and chased the two thugs away. He lost lots of feathers, especially tail feathers. This is a picture that I took of him after he flew to the back fence to rest from the beating. He was still angry from the unprovoked attack when I took this picture. Kelley (Texas) :)
