Hawaii hunt

My best buddy is going hunting in Hawaii wants to look for rings in about six feet of water. What is going to work for him? This maybe the only time he hunts beaches in the ocean. He asked me about an Excalaber but even the 1000 goes used for a lot of money...any ideas and prices??

If you are going to buy the Best , You can buy a brand new sand shark by Tesoro for the same price of a use Excal. New sand shark about $650 and a life time warrenty.

The Sovereign is another great choice with the same BBS technology as the Excal, but for hundreds less. Waterproofing one is pretty simple, http://metaldetectingforum.com/showthread.php?t=88982&highlight=behold+sovzilla

My advice if he wants something waterproof and reliable would be a Whites dual Field PI or another similar machine. True, the Excal will discriminate somewhat, but it is expensive new. I've owned two of them. The Whites asking price is over $800 but you can get it discounted. Simple to operate.... nes
