HAVING TROUBLE

I am having some trouble with my detector. If I move it a little to fast it beeps. If I detect above my head, it beeps. Its just going off for no reason. I have a handful of dirt waving it infront of the coil, it beeps. I search the dirt........nothing. Nothing at all. It's just going off all over the place. Whats up?

Another question. With my 750, on coin mode, I am finding a ton of bottle caps and pull tabs. Any tips? This this is driving me nuts.

I had a detector act like that once and it turned out to be a bad coil.

What is your sens set at?

What do you have your sensitivity set at? Have you tried rebooting it. Sounds like you're running the sensitivity way to high.

Mine will go crazy if sensitivity is to high or I am by a radio tower or under ground wiring! Reboot , try a different area? Not sure about coil problem?

Does the search coil have a coil cover on it? If so, I suggest the you remove the coil cover and clean both the search coil and coil cover. Dirt always get caught in those coil covers and can make the detector go crazy with false signalling. Let us know how it works out. Good luck. Happy Hunting!

There is no cover on it, my sens. is set at factory, and I am on an old farm lot. No underground wires, or pipes. It's weird, I will try my other coil. Thanks for everyones help!!!
