Having trouble with the Blisstool

I am having trouble getting it to run stable it pop and cracks some times so bad it is hard to ground balance. I have read everything and watched all video. What I really don't under stand is when I crank the gain to max it is quite. nothing else makes it stop. What is happening? I am in good Missouri black dirt. If I just don't pay any attention to to cracking it will stop then start like EMI.

Rafter , Mine does the same thing , if i move the gain its seems to do just that , just barly move the gaine down or up , it will settle down. but if your battery is new it may take a few charges to break it in as it is lithium Ion . dont get to upset my bliss has always done that . but it will quite down. just barly move the gain down or up . it happens when i go from say a gaine of 1 to another gaine setting so once you move your gain just waite and just very carfully tuch it down a bit .

Barry called me and said send it back I hate that I had trouble but that happens. One thing I was very impressed with was have problems with any other detector on a sat. and see when they get back with you. Barry called me Sun morning. Very Impressed with service.

barry will treat you like family .

Mine did the very same thing today after about 2 hours detecting. It was doing just fine. I had dug 7 minnie balls and all of a sudden the detector went whacko. I hadn't moved any knobs. I turned the silencer way up and fiddled with the threshold and it got a little quieter. Then after about 5 minutes it just smoothed out and worked fine. One more thing, the battery was fully charged.

I have one theory, the blisstool has three parts to its battery so when one gets low its starts to get eratic until it switches over to the next cell. then it clears up again just a theory I am no electrician, ??

That sounds like a good theory but I had only used the Bliss for about 3 hours after an over night charging when it went whacko!

I had the same thing happen to me when I had it in the house testing, and just outside. Once I got out into an open area, it was as quiet as a mice, and worked fine. I only used it for about a half hour in the field though so it did not have time to mess up.
