Having fun with the excalibur!

Hello All. Had an enjoyable day detecting at the beach, under water. Found around 8 dollars in coins, a few sinkers and pulltabs! But I thought I'd post a few photos of the scenery where I detected. Hope you like, and thanks for looking!
Angela:)

Nice photos. Thats a great way to combine two great hobbies.

Waters nice a clear so the Great Whites wont sneak up on you.

Gidday! Thank you for your replies! I went detecting at the morning peninsula on the southern coast of Victoria. These photos were taken at one of my favorite detecting spots. When the sands shift, I often find pre-decimal coins and the occasional relic or old bottle. I'm not using a hookah here, just plain old snorkling and diving down to retrieve targets. Does take up a lot of energy, but I love it, and it keeps me relatively fit!

I haven't seen many pics posted of actual underwater detecting. Sure is neat and the camera sure did the job. Thanks for sharing....

Golden, that's aw some. I guess that new underwater camera you got REALLY WORKS. Those are beautiful, interesting pictures, and what really amazes me is that your finding stuff in that arena and how in the heck can you dig in that stuff, or are the coins and relics just sitting on the ocean floor??? Those are really interesting, terrific pics. Marc.

Hi Beachguy, I already had the camera. Just got the underwater housing for it. The camera is a Canon Powershot A640, 10 mega pixels, digital. It does take great photos. Took a lot more photos, but didn't want to flood the forum with them! I haven't taken a photo of my finds yet. Did find a few small old bottles while snorkling.:)

Sorry, Golden, I should have remembered that. You get the "BEST PICTURES OF THE DAY" award from me at least. They're not only interesting and pretty, but they even relate to detecting, since you were detecting. Try and do that with your Quatro!!!! Ha, ha, ha. Just kidding, but they're really "groovy" photos, and I know everyone loved them. Come on Minelab, why don't you guys develop an underwater housing for the Quatro and the Explorer. I know they could do it, but it might put the Excalibur out of business. (They're not stupid people), and I still think the world of you all at Minelab, in case your reading this. Marc, (the trouble maker):crazy::|
