Having an ATGOLD now is there any good reason to also buy an ATPro?

Well, if you bought the AT pro, you would gain an extra mode, the "STANDARD" mode, be able to selectively create your own programmed mode and have a spare water proof detector where you could attach a different sized coil to excel at hunting in a different setting.

Also, if you purchased that second AT Series Detector, you would have spent the same amount of $$$ as you could have on a more expensive detector, which the AT Series often meet and beat, and it's not even water proof.

Have the AT Pro and just ordered the Gold. They will look so cute sitting together when not out in the field. Maybe they will give me little Pro-ettes and Gold-ettes. Plus, it's only money so go for it. Seriously, they both have their advantages and depending on what you want to do then that will determine what to do. I wanted a gold machine for prospecting but that would only be several times a year. This way I get a good prospecting machine and one to loan out to friends too and I don't feel like I wasted a lot of money for something to just sit there.

Ahhhh, isn't that sweet!

Maybe they'd produce Pro-Golds?

I use both for Relic hunting and the Gold when I'm hunting in very hot VA. soil( true all metal with a threshold). I used my PRO last season in the water and found small gold chains and broken gold rings where other detectors would not even get a beep(tested it side by side with a friends machine). Haven't tried the Gold in the water yet( I got it in October last year).

Pro-Golds :yo:

Pro-Golds, that's rediculous. :clapping: I think they will make little ProPointers.

Someone stick a GTI 2500, a AT-Gold and a AT-Pro in a dark box and hide it under your bed. Maybe by next Autumn they will have birthed and raised a sweet AT-Platinum! :super:

I know it will notch out unwanted targets. But we are looking at another $500+ .

Frank I would think that depends on how much you water hunt and if you have another waterproof detector. Certainly having a waterproof backup that can both land and water hunt effectively is a plus:detecting:
