Having a good run of luck lately

Got out yesterday and today and I am getting in tune with what my machine is trying to tell me. I am also looking in shallower water, about 20-30 feet off the shoreline, in 2-3' of water.

The ring is my first white gold. Marked 14Kt with a small diamond. It was in 2 feet of water. The earring next to it is probably 10Kt.

Pulled 2 bracelets out of the sand today, the 14Kt, heavier one on the top, was in 2 feet of water. The bottom one was in 4 feet and is probably plated. The large earring is probably 10kt and the smaller on is marked 14Kt.

Found enough coin to pay for gas today.

You have to find the right lane in order to find the gold. The wave action may drag the gold out farther than the surf's edge, or it may bury it deeply in the soft sand. Are the people on the beach and in the water wearing a lot of gold to loose? Keep at it and dig all your sounds....you may be missing some things.

I dropped a quarter out of my scoop and watched the waves carry it out to sea. I found it a few seconds later but it was 10 feet out further from where I originally dug it. That reinforces your statement.

I do dig everything. I didnt mention the upteen bottlecaps or the 100's of foil balls. I guess I should have.

This is just a little beach known mainly to the locals. No high-rise hotels, just a pretty place to swim and have fun. The people love to wear their gold here (And lots of it) and I think that's grand! The beach is protected by reefs and there rarely is any wave action over a foot. There is an ocassionally strong current that does move the sand so I keep an eye on that action. Because it is a relatively short beach, maybe 100 yards long by 60 feet wide, the people concentrate and the net effect is a high concentration of lost goods and TONS of trash. The trash is a big problem. I was using a VLF machine that was good but did not discriminate well enough. I bought a multi-frequency machine to compensate and it is doing what I hoped. I have been hunting this beach almost exclusively for over a year and it is still yielding good finds. I am not the only hunter but I probably put the most hours in here. I am sure I am missing some things but the beach dynamics make it interesting and the people keep it well supplied. Gotta love it...
