I went out hunting with my buddy today and found this "coin" in a schoolyard.
I did a search and think it is a "police challenge coin".
Anyone have any other opinions on this?
It is 1 1/2" in diameter and it quite heavy.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Felix

Yep, it is a challenge or "throw down" coin which are used in law enforcement, military units, and other professions. The tradition is that if you are out socially with the guys and someone "throws down" their coin, everyone else must present theirs. If you get caught without your coin, you buy the round. If everyone presents their challenge coin, the guy that initially throws down buys... They are also presented when different units work together on an operation as symbols of esteem.

Nice find!
