Have You Ever Found One Of These?

In my 30+ years of water detecting, I have scooped up a lot of interesting items. But for some reason this one has me perplexed. It is a smooth round grey stone (not native to the sandstone and clay of the lake). On the stone are these words: Side one: Have no identity. I let people down. Side two: Not good enough. Fear of abandonment. INSECURITY. No one can love me. Fear that I am no good? Anyone else come across one of these? Are they part of some type of therapy?

I think you may be right...must be some sort of hippy therapy type thing...write all your problems on a stone and toss them aside...if only it was that easy!

You better get rid of it in case their curse is passed onto you! :heh: Very Cool find! Really sums up our sport...we are following in another humans footsteps seeking what their life was dropping along the way.

The hurts of life can be devastating, and words spoken over you can cripple you in so many ways if you take them into your heart and let them define your life. Looks like this person was getting rid of the garbage and in a, symbolic act, wrote them on the stones and threw them into the lake, but the important part was forgiving everyone that ever hurt them, including the hardest person to forgive, themselves.
Someone said holding a grudge and not forgiving is like the grudge holder taking poison and hoping the other person gets sick. Ever met a bitter person?

Don't let the sunset on your anger, keep short accounts.

A good find kmandiver!
