Have you ever found a pair of earrings?

Yes! but it was four months apart. I found a small sterling hook style earring around the first of May at a public beach(freshwater) that I've hunted regularly. The back was still on the earring so I thought must be a towel drop and the other one must be close by. I hunted in a 10 ft. circle around the area and nothing. Yesterday I was hunting the same beach and found the matching earring with the back still on it. I also found another sterling earring hoop style that was so big I thought it was a bracelet. My wife wants me to find the mate to it. Now, the story is that this beach is hunted regularly by others so it justs proves that an area is seldom hunted out. Another good pointer is that if you find an earring with the back still on it, more than likly its a towel drop and its mate is nearby.

I found about 3 pairs of them, all on the beach, a real nice pair, heavy silver with ruby's in each ring and the wife lost one of them, I'll have to go look for it this fall at her office

I was hunting along a creek bank where it appeared the spot was used for a little hanky panky, I think a lot more panky than hanky. I recovered a silver hoop earring and was thinking there might be another around. Sure enough less than a foot away I got the other. It was the only time I recovered a pair of them. I've recovered gold backings for post earrings on two ocassions. They are tiny.

While detecting for nuggets on a mountain side in Montana I found a cuff link, a year later I found the mate to it in the same area. ( also found some nuggets)
