Been getting out but, have not felt like posting in a while but, I wanted to post up my hunting partners find that was just fantastic in my view.
We headed out early this morning back to the same old town we hit when I posted last time. Although we went and obtained permission at different property.
This yard looked really good for hunting but, it did not give up the real oldies we thought it might but, we both came home happy again.
I wanted to show off the beautiful extra large Crotal Bell he found that was at-least 14" deep as I know because I helped him dig it.
It is stamped 4 up near the neck and has an S on the bottom.
These are the size that do not turn up that often so, I was very thrilled for him.

Now as far as coins my friend did not do all that great today but, as the title says it was a Key day and it was for my friend as he found five today. He also found a Heads or Tails old Token but, I forgot to get a picture of it.
I know today's hunt does not come close to his keys for a day record though because about eight years ago he found about fifty (yes fifty) some on one giant ring at an old place we had hunted for years.
I would guess it was a maintenance person ring from years gone by.
Anyhow here is his five for today.

I did a tad better on coins although his Crotal Bell is sweet.
I got one Merc today along with seven Wheat's and an old copper ring with the plating worn off.
Here is the 40 Merc as I pulled her from her dirt tomb. She was under the decent sized root in the hole you can see.

My best find by far was a weak D 1922 Wheat penny pictured at the bottom left in the photo. The oldest of the group was a 1910.

Here is a close up. She still needs further soaking.

Everyday is not super productive but, without a doubt everyday is fun just like today. Who knows what I will dig up tomorrow.
Thanks for looking.
