Have I seen the light?

I must start off by saying that I have ,through the years, used Fisher detectors almost exclusively. I currently use a f-70 and a 1270 as a backup, but I had my eyes opened a bit this past week. I have in my test garden a silver dime buried at a little over 8" in my back yard, this seems to be where the barbers and seated coins tend to be at in my area, and one at 9" to give the ultimate test as to whether the detector will perform at a better than average range. My F-70 and 1270 both pick up the 8" dime and the F-70 gives a one way signal on the 9" dime but it is within the range in which I dig so that's high performance to me. My uncle visited me last week and said he had found the best detector out there and wanted me to see it. I laughed when he brought out a silver umax! The three things I know about Tesoro are that the Tejon is top notch, the people that use Tesoro are by far the most brand loyal and Tesoro as a company are the most user loyal company (service/warranty), but a $239.00 detector being the best, I don't know about that. Well we went out to the garden before we hit the field. He first tried the silver with the stock 8" coil. Results were as I expected...not very good, however he had the secret weapon....a 12"x10" coil!!! This coil turned the silver into a BEAST....It easily picked up the 8" dime and believe it or not it did the same for the 9" dime. If I had not seen it with my own eyes I would not have believed it. Oh yea it ran smooth as silk too. Has anyone else noticed how powerful this detector is by using this coil? I know it is normally not that big of a difference by going to a larger coil but with this detector it seems to be a difference maker...big time!!

I got a 12X10 concentric coil on my Tesoro Euro Sabre.
