Hi Foks, Just wanted to shout out and say a thank you for the many helpful post in the 3030 forums, I'm a truck driver recovering from a hip replacement and bought my CTX as my first detector (go big or go home, right!?!) Always been interested in detecting and this seemed a good way to help with not only recovery but keeping the legs working. I plan on carrying it with me on the road and learning as I go, with any luck when I'm down for a couple of days I can find a good spot to hunt. When I got my new CTX I wanted to try it out and a friend of mine was interested in what my first find was, it was a piece of shreded coke can. I took it to my friend and told him I paid $2500 just to find it 
With all jokes aside, I'm very proud of my investment and will continue to learn, research, and use my CTX with hopes that I can post some good finds later on. I do plan on grabbing my 11 yr old granddaughter and hitting a local ball park which I have gained permission to search before I go back on the road. I figure it will be a good for us to spend time together and might spark a fire in her as well. Once again, Thanks for the highly informative post here, they have been most helpful.
