Have any of you F75 users experienced...

...the same equipment failures as the T2. I've had mine for two weeks and I've already managed to crack both cam locks and the coil cover. Haven't had a chance to compare the two side by side so I'm wondering if maybe the F75 is better built. Thanks.

The cam locks on the F75 WERE changed after several cracks were reported. I believe they had their maker switch to a stronger plastic on the F75. Mine have been fine thusfar on both units.....
2 more improvements the F75 has over the T2 is that the F75 has the nice golden anodized rods, rather than the green paint of the T2. Another thing that was addressed on the F75 has to do with the batteries. Or occationally dropping the T2 down would re-set it as the batteries "moved". I have never had that happen on the F75, & I believe the F75 solved this with simply a thicker foam in the battery compartment to tighten the area....
First Texas can probably send you the stronger cams free, as it is under warranty. Once you get the stronger "F75 cams" you'll be fine. Maybe folks can change them by themselves rather than send the entire unit in? I'm not sure on this, but I know I replaced a few cams on my old Fishers by myself as they just easily screwed apart.....

I am not familar with the T2 problems, but have experienced NO PROBLEMS of any kind with 49 hours in with my F75. As a side note, at 44 hours I saw the 1st bar drop on the battery scale. I am curious to see just how long a set will last. HH jim tn

and I've adjusted, disassembled and reassembled the daylights out of it. :) I don't have a T-2 to do any comparisons with though. Like Bill said, I heard they used a different type of plastic in the F-75 locks. I also love that the lower rod is the same as the old Fishers. Call Fisher/First Texas and I bet they'll hook you up with some replacements.

I'm real pleased with the feel of it, as I was told by someone prior to buying it that they thought it felt "poorly made". mine is nice and tight, with no wobbles or loosness. Feels good in the hand, and looks like it will hold up well. now I'm kinda tough on the equipment :), so a few months should tell if its gonnna hold up or not. I'm still kinda amazed at how light it is for an ID machine. Streak!

I've had my F75 for about a month and recently noticed that the
Cam locks are cracked on mine also. Surprised cause I thought they were upgraded for this reason.
Also, I noticed that the coil wire plug-in connector seems to be missing a tiny screw on the side. The plug is loose because of this. can someone check and tell me that this little screw should be there to make the connector tight? If so, it would seem that a little locktite is needed (when I get a new one).
I moved up from a cz-70 and am enjoying getting out with the new detector up here in Ontario, canada.
I do have to say that my cz70 seems to be much more solidly built than the F75. Taking the rods apart for travel and putting them back together is really nice and solid with the cz but the F75 is too tight fitting. Swinging the two shows the cz to be very solid, and the F75 feels flimsy in comparison.
