If you didn't have a detector, You had the money. what would be your next two detectors. I'am just asking to find out what type. Not starting who is better and all that Thanks for your help .
Definitely a Minelab (not sure which one at this point - maybe the Explorer II) and the second would be a underwater detector of some sort/make. Not sure which one of these either.
The LS stands for Land and Sea. It can be hip mounted for land. I think it use 96 frequencies. The people that use the high end Minelabs know it performs just under the very top of the Minelab line and is less than half the price along with being water proof. It would still be heavy but the depth and find's would far outweigh the weight. It is a PI and therefore a slow machine. I'm not much for speed sweping anyway. Whatever you would get I hope you find it enjoyable.

exactly what I have now - Fisher 1266 XB. I feel I am digging all that's possible with it so Why change something that's working ? I think way too many people look to a newer detector as being the answer instead of the current one. Too many people dont want to take the time to learn the current machine and how to find sites. They want it now.
Probably some wont like me now after saying that Steve in so az
You're right though... I've been on forums where guys are using the "low end" models that the purists consider "toys" yet they post some incredible finds. Like it's been said before, it's not the machine as much as the person doing the swinging. ( a little luck helps too )
