Haunted House..............

Kelley (Texas)

New member
This is a picture of an old house in San Antonio that some folks claim is haunted. It is said that back in the late 1950's that a doctor living in this house killed his wife and buried her body under the house. The doctor quickly sold the house and moved to Maryland where he lived for several years before being arrested. The folks that bought the house reported doors slamming shut, lights turning on by themselves, and on occasion they would see the ghost of a woman roaming the house. Several years later, the body was found by some plumbers replacing a pipe under the house, which led to the arrest of the doctor. Several people have owned the house over the years, all reporting that the house was haunted. The house appears to be well maintained.

This picture was taken with my Sony NEX-6 and an old, vintage Minolta MD W.Rokkor-X 28mm F2.8 prime lens, at following settings: F11, 1/250, ISO 200, Daylight setting, Manual Focus, Manual Mode, hand held, good lighting conditions. Lens was manufactured in 1978, and is a keeper. Note: very little photo editing was done on this picture. Kelley (Texas) :)

love those vintage homes.........around here they diestroyed most of them in the name of progress.
my wife is from northern ca and they have them all over downtown ....beautiful. homes , and not falling apart

Is it unusual to see so much green growth in Texas ? Mostly your great photos are desert like.. Which I prefer to view!

and the home owner has ready access to water which they use to maintain a green yard. Kelley (Texas) :)

Interesting story. Thanks for sharing it and also for the picture.

Is the house lived in now?

The house is well maintained, beautiful in my opinion. It is my understanding that old homes like this are very expensive to maintain. Kelley (Texas) :)

I'm sure they are pricey as large as some houses are. Specially the older ones. Thanks Kelley

that most haunted houses were old two or three story houses, seldom smaller single story homes like the ones that many of us live in. I wonder why? Kelley (Texas) :)

Maybe one of these days someone will actually capture a ghost, and prove once and for all that there is truly such a thing as a ghost. That person would become famous and very wealthy too! Kelley (Texas) :)
