Hate to ask what could be a dumb question, but here it goes...

So I'm going to use waterproof ( tony eisenhower ) headphones with the nox 600. Do I have to put any sort of sealant on the connection to be certain it doesn't leak ?

I don't think you do but just to be safe I would. I'm a old Tiger Shark user and I used plenty of the silicone on that detector when I hunted fresh water lakes. I also used the 600 for one season and
applied it to the headphone jack as well. Happy hunting Pal!
