Picked this pin up today hunting a skirmish site. It's a lead filled back with 2 wire hooks. Has some of the gold gilt still on it. Looks like a small piece missing at the top also. Any idea's??

I do not recognize it as military, but it could be a part of a militia hat pin. Could also be foreign or civilian. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
