My wife and I enjoy taking our 2500s out to some of the local parks/playgrounds. Last week, at a playground in a local park about 5km from home, I found a nice earring with some different colored stones. I don't think it's worth a lot, but it was in like new condition and says "Avon" on the back. Anyway, my wife liked it, but says "Gee, too bad I don't have the other one".

... Fast forward to today. We were detecting in a city park in another town about 12km the other direction. I was happily digging $1 and $2 coins from the park lawn while my wife was trying the little play area in the corner of the park (all the playground areas around here are topped with wood chips, so digging is easy and finds are usually still nice and shiney). After a while, she comes over to me and says "You're not going to believe what I found...". I asked if she had found the big diamond ring shes always wanted to find. She says no, but it is jewelry. She holds out her hand and there is the mate to the earring I had found last week, 17km away. Identical in condition and in every aspect! What are the odds? Someone must have been going to some of the local playgrounds and losing pieces along the way. It's not a real common looking design, like a simple gold ring or anything. Simply amazing!

I think it may be time to go and buy a couple of lotto tickets!

Anyone ever had something like this happen?

thats really wierd that happened to me back in the eighties each earing was found in a different town.

Yeah I've heard of it before.....its them dang lepricons :look:.....they like to move their stuff around to confuse us

OK...

So your wife buys these expensive earings and doesn't have the guts to tell you, so she comes up with a plan. She plants one earing near a spot she sees you hunting near, and of course you find it. Fast forward to today. OMG!!! She walks over claiming she found the matching earing!

What??? It could happen!

LOL

Not as unusual as your find but I was actually quite surprised one day last week when I found 2 identical chuck-e-cheese tokens (brass I believe) at a soccer field about 100 yards apart from on another. I was not so surprised that there could be more than one, but was quite surprised to have found 2 just randomly searching.

wow, i think that's freaky...depending on how few there were made, i think the odds are pretty slim.......

obviously, can't be from the same person ya think??

yep, sounds like your lucky day....good karma pay back...
