Has there been any changes to the Land Star

Back when the Land Star first came out I had one, I didn't keep it long as I remember. Anyway looking at that model now it seems to have some things my old one didn't have like,
Ground Trac Retune,
Also I don't remember being able to switch to all metal and tune it down to pin-point,

Anyway I have a used Land Star coming so I was doing some reading up on it.

Did Bounty Hunter change some things on the Land Star from the earlier versions?

Sometime around 2004 the inside electronics or board was changed to something similar to the Discovery 3300. I don't think you had a Landstar by what you posted. The landstar always had manual ground balance with the ground trac button. I have both the older Landstar and the newer one. RS versions.
The newer one does seem to get better depth in my test garden in disc coin hunting modes. It seems like the older one has better depth in all metal non motion mode and it ID's in this mode as well. The newer one does not. Also, you will know which one you have when you turn it on. If it makes 3 audio sounds at start up, then you have the older one. I like both and have found some good stuff. I do suggest you get the 4 and 10 inch coils , as it makes big differences in different types of hunting. Hope you find the good stuff. HH
