Not a veiled bash.Thinking of getting a Racer, but would prefer to wait till the issues has been fixed if it has not been.

Elron I thought you had one? See if you can get Richard to lend ya his! That ain't gonna happen though.........

My 5x10 ear broke but Richard is taking care of it

I liked the tracking. And separation abilities in trash.. I didn't like the catch all 82 number on my particular unit.. Many say theirs does not have that issue..

Elton I'm very sure they are the same where targets are grouped TID wise but understanding the audio is the key. I can easily see where ones that have mastered the audio nuances on either machine wouldn't even stop and think of digging what some might think is a solid hit on a target. Once you get that sound down from the other sounds half the curve is over with. IOW if it doesn't have that correct sound I don't even look at the TID and then most of the time you really don't have to except for the verification just before digging.

I had no issue with my targets reading in the 80s a lot read in the 50s and are buttons

my coil got lose the other day, and try tighten bolt, an it broke , an it one of the holler one. so far have not had coil ear broke yet. put I using an extra coil rod .so I don't have too pull coil off. just change them out. been trying get hold my dealer an get a new bolt. good thing they sent two when I got my detector.

I got a new stock coil today because my original one developed an overload malfunction. I brought it in to my local dealer and he put my original stock coil next to a new stock coil - and they definitely beefed up the design on the new one. Thicker plastic and a beefier design. It appears the weak plastic issue has been addressed with the newer coils. They gave me the new one free of charge without hassle. No warranty paperwork or receipt necessary. Just looked me up in the system and handed me the new coil. Was very pleased.

I just got a replacement for my stock coil about 2 weeks ago and the one that was sent looks the same and is just as thin if not slightly thinner that the one that broke. I wonder if this one is going to break or if the plastic is different so it wont break as easy as I only have it mounted and not been used yet. The original one didn't break while using it, but one side broke taking it to a hunt site, but I had some thing to make it work for the hunt and the other side broke laying in the shop. I hope it was just bad plastic on the first one and the replacement will be fine.

Not a big deal. All the best machines I've used have had minor build problems. The important parts of a detector are not made of plastic.

Before Whites made a change, the pots on the Dual Field leaked and quit all the time. I still own three of them all of which have paid for themselves a dozen times over.
