Has the 7.5 kHz 5 x 10 DD coil been released yet for the X70?

I saw where the 18kHz 5x10 DD is out. I've been waiting for the 7.5 kHz version.

Thanks,

Mike

I've got three years on mine with nary a problem. Well, I have had to reglue the ground balance box back on the side of the control housing, but other than that I've had trouble free operation out of mine.

Is the 10.5" DD a 7.5 kHz coil?

I bought a 7" wide scan for it. and took it out one time and it just quit IDing right and buzzed. So I sent it with my 4", standard coil and the new Wide scan with it to Tesoro. They put a new PIC in it and replaced the stock coil said the re-tune was off on it. Got it back air tested it and it would not ID right. Example: Start out at the coil with a QT go out about 9 1/2"s ID high tone all the way. Change to a nickle at 9 1/2" and you would get the same high tone. Change to a zinc still the high tone. Go into about 6"s and the tone changed to the right tone. Called back out there and told them how it was acting and the Big Boss must have thought I fell off the Turnip Truck yesterday said nothing was wrong with it they all worked like that. Big mistake, I just told him I had run it for over 5 years and I knew how the damn machine was supposed to work and I wasn't buying it. So I guess he thought he could not B.S. me and said to send it back. So I did. All that was wrong with it was it needed a tone cal on it to get the proper tones right at depth. Well we will see how they did. It got sent out today. If they didn't fix it, damn if I won't send it back again. That little Golden and the 4" coil is one of the best iron and trash hunters I got. Everything was working fine till I put the DD coil on and it bit the bullet. I hope I don't have a bad DD coil. Anyway that is the story and I will see what they did to fix it. Later bud . Hope your little Golden is still getting you the good stuff. :D: :D: Jerry aka Tinfoil.
