Waterproofed GT. I just got Grey Ghost headphones and need help with putting a 1/4 in jack on it. Radio Shack could not help. Would need to be L shaped too.

Thanks. -Joe

Ok, I found the part I need. The question is. Are they mono or stereo? Can't find it anywhere...looked at a bunch of sites. I will probably have more questions on the which wire goes where, but thats for later. Thanks.

Most headphones are sterio.... other wise you get the sound out of only one side of the headphones. There are a few with switches like the Pro Golds but if U switch them into mono the sounds goes off because the machine is set up for sterio.

Thanks for replys. Gonna try a different radio shack today. Snow on ground here aaaagain so I got time. Thanks

Ordered and on the way. This should do it. Can connect headphones to it. Struck out at two radioshacks, so I figure what the heck...while winter is still here. Again, thanks for help OBN and Dew.

Just got my jack in the mail. Looking for help with what wire to solder where. Attached is a pick. Its a different jack then the one posted below.

Figure before I do It I ask so I get it right. Thanks for help. -Joe

By rule of thumb, the white wire should connect the left speaker to the tip probe the tip probe is always in the center; the red wire, the right speaker to the ring probe which is always on the outside; and the earth to the sleeve probe. If you're unsure, confirm which probe connects to the tip with a multimeter. This should work it,s basic jack wiring . GL Jim

Thanks for help. Sounds easy enough. Im gonna try this tonight. Will post back with results. HH an GL -Joe
