Has anyone used both the IDX and the Ace 250?

What's your opinion?
And yes the IDX is heavier,
but what about depth?
The IDX also has a 5.3 coil on it.
What's your opinion?

Thanks
Bruce

I have had an IDX. It has 8 segments compared to 12 of the 250. The 250 has notch disc. The IDX has progressive. I like the notch for coin shooting. I find the depth to be the same. The IDX does have an internal trimmers for GB and Threshold. The 250 uses 4 AA batteries the IDX 8. You said you already know that the IDX is heavier. I prefer the 250 for coin and jewelry hunting. Ace 250 is fun to use. I think the IDX retailed for 495.00 The 250 retails for 249.00
