has anyone tried Ultimate Gray Ghost headphone

I've used a couple pairs of Grey Ghost NDT's for years. They work very well. I am really tough on my equipment, and the replaceable cord has been a blessing. I have only had to send one headset in for repair one time.

The Gray Ghost Ultimates are great metal detecting headphones and work very well with the Explorer.

They are a little heavy and can get somewhat hot and sweaty on a hot, humid summer day but when detecting at the beach (where noise is a problem) or when you need the best sound isolation to get those deep finds, they are indispensable.

Sometimes in the hot weather I'll use a lightweight behind the neck type of headphone as it's a little more comfortable and I can wear a hat to protect me from the sun. However, they aren't as good from a strictly metal detecting point of view.

Hope this helps ... Gord SW Ont.

I use the nuggett busters ndt (no down time) - they work great with the explorer. They come with a spare lead and have a compatiblity switch too. They dont like the dfx though - i can hear whistles and high pitched hissing with the dfx.
