Has anyone tried to put a coil cover on the T-2 coil besides me??? I tried for 10 minutes and it still isn't on!! Any suggestions?

Yep. I have a cover on mine. It isn't too difficult to do if you first treat it like a hubcap and then like tupperware. Sounds weird, eh? What I mean is that you have to slip it on one side at a time, jockying each side alternately until it is on nearly all the way, kinda' like a hubcap. At that point, you'll probably have a big pocket of air in the center. Now just lift one edge off the coil a little bit and kind of push the air out, like "burping" tupperware. Once the air is gone, snap the edge back down and you're in business.

You know, after reading this back to myself, I think some of you might feel that I know a little too much about tupperware...

Your right Wolf...What you said worked great for mine too...BUt I'm glad I didn't put it into words...hehehhee

I couldn't have said it as well as you did either. But your right it's a tight fit, But if your patient it does fit on quite well.....I took mine back off once to clean it out NOW THATS WHERE THE nIgHtMaRe COMES IN! hehehee. BUt I was sending it back to Teknetics for thr R6 and I wanted it to be clean!

It will slide on... go easy, watch the sides to make sure the edge's aren't binding any where. Probably shouldn't say this in todays society but...even a kitchen butter knife will help to slide the cover on.

Hey...no warranties or garrantees implied. Do not use the knife in an unsafe manner. Keep the knife out of reach of small children. Do not place the butterknife ends in light or lamp sockets. Do not use the knife to splice electrical cords while plugged into live outlets. Do not run with knife in mouth. Wear protective goggles while attemping this procedure, and last but certianly not least, please see the FAQs included with the operatorions manual located on the WORLD WIDE WEB @

Use hot, scalding water instead!! ;)

Actually, I did think that maybe some -warm- water would make it flexible and slip on easier, but if it seals that tight, you don't want trapped moisture.

Maybe put a bath towel in the dryer, then wrap it around the coil cover for a minute.

The concept being to heat and soften the plastic.

Well it is tight...took me awhile..it was so tight that I got "air" in it....just take it slowly...it will fit..I got it to work by front to back..as others may have said warm it up a bit...but it is tight..I feel that this shows how good the people that made the beanpole care about us...the useres...in one week of using the T2 I was messing up the "coil cover a bit, but not that bad..but i was concerned" a bit...but then I hunt "hard places".
