Has anyone tried the Excellerator Butterfly loop on the V?

Not yet but I will when I receive my Vision next week. I'll let you know how that goes.

I have been using the 10X12 SEF most of the time on the V3 and have had good luck with it. I will know more after this weekend when I log a lot more hours with it. It sure covers a lot more area and pinpoints well and I think it gets a little better depth than the D2. I think it might be a little bit quieter as well.

Thanks Larry for the info. I have one and will be anxious to try it out when I get my V3. Are you finding that the VDI #'s are the same as the stock V3 coil?

I really don't know, I don't pay much attention to the VDI's. If it sounds good, I dig.
