Has anyone tried the 7 inch elliptical coil on the C or V.........

Just curious how the 7 inch elliptical concentric coil off the Lobo might perform on my Vaquero as a mid size coil. My favorite coil on my other Tesoros is the 7 inch concentric. Anyone tried it yet???

I'm sure someone has, but as for me, I used it with my Tejon, and it worked nicely. The only thing about it I didnt like was the pinpointing. It just seemed easier to pinpoint with a round coil. You get used to it. I dont have a lot of deep targets in my area (just south of you in Oregon), so I didnt really see a noticeable difference in depth between the 7" and the stock coil. Hope this is of some use to you, and I'm sure someone else has tried the combo that your asking about.

Does the elliptical coil pinpoint off center or is it just that it has a long field from heel to toe that makes it tough to pinpoint???
It seems to me that that coil would be a nice happy medium between the 5.75 and the 9X8. Besides I'm not a big fan of spoked coils as they always get caught on brush and stuff!
