has anyone replaced the foam handgrip on their tejon?

If so how do you go about it, does the battery pack and arm cuff come off easy enough?

Thanks,
Neil

I would think that they would slide right down the pole after you remove the arm rest. A trick I use to remove stuck hand grips on my bicycles is to work some soapy water between the grips
and bars and that would work. If you want to just trash the old grip just cut it off with a sharp knife. New grips are hard to get on too but again the soapy water helps there too!

I think because of the battery pack you might just send it to Tesoro.

thats what I am wondering about, the battery pack. Ive not received the Tejon yet, its enroute, so I cant see for myself. Thought someone might know if there are plug ins for removing the battery pack or are they hardwired.

I agree with the soapy water, works great. once its on and drys I usually put a couple of dabs of liquid nails or similiar to hold the grip in place.

Thank you,
Neil

Hand grip repleacement requiers unsoldering the wires from battery contacts, and all is done soldering them back. To slide the new hand grip spray inside with Isopropyl alkohol, which evaportes after a while.

Thanks Denar, thats easy enough then. I forgot about the alcohol working also, thanks for the reminder.

Neil i have not but if its not to beat up i have seen some use a wrap used for tennis rackets .
You can buy in sports department stores

I have seen some wrap the grips with the stuff in sporting stores used for tennis rackets, baseball bats etc.
Might be an option - some of those wraps look good too.

One that is larger is more comfortable for my hands.

the tennis raquet stuff I dont care for, especially when it gets sweaty. The foam is still the stuff I like the best.

Thanks,
Neil
