...not complaining...but I have not received mine back nor any word on it.
I hope they are researching a way to impliment some fixes?
Just wondering if anyone has received em back.
Scott

They got mine last Tuesday and i put in a call yesterday to check the status and today i got a call.
I was told that mine should ship out by the end of the week so i should have it early next week. ( Im in Tex )
I was also told it has taken longer then expected because they got more SE' s back then they thought they would.

What are they doing to fix the problems?
I dont really know, but i just want it to work as advertised. Since i bought it new i would like it to look new as well.
"Now that's not to much to ask for, is it??"

I read some other things too, but they were too discouraging to repost.

Hope they work out for you.

I seriously doubt that Fisher is going to publicize what it did to them. I can assure you that the silver problem you had, was caused by a out of adjustment trimmer setting, nothing more. I straighten away quite a few in the field.

The ones with scratches on the screen will have the screen replaced.

Mr.Bill

I'm absolutely sure that Fisher will take care of all problems. Mine has got a number of scratches, stuff behind the screen, and while it works pretty well and has good depth, sometimes doesn't report a target sitting right on top of the ground. I don't know how a company can send out the first detector knowing that there are problems, which I'm sure they did. No doubt this roll out did serious damage to Fisher's reputation.

Shenandoah Digger, Fisher didn't send them out the door knowing there were problems with them. Someone blew the internal phase adjustment. Not all units had this problem. Only the one's set up buy one person had problems. 2/3's of them had no issues at all.

Yours may have a dirty screen, I don't doubt that, but they certainly all didn't.

I can understand a couple slipping past QC but a hundred or more is unacceptable.
I understand you want to protect Fisher/FT because it could affect your business as well, but the bottom line is, they droped the ball on this one.

I agree it's unacceptable, and they certainly dropped the ball, but the statement was made they knew about the problems and sent them out the door. That's what I was bringing up my point about.

Yes, I do have a vested interest in Fisher products, but I still feel the need to speak out in Fisher's favor when I think what I'm reading is not correct because the poster is up set.

Hey, our toys shouldn't come pre-broken.

Very good point and i agree that plp should post the facts and not speculation but if Fisher/FT would post the facts, then there would be no need for speculation.

the same question yesterday. The dealers are not any more happy about this either. We spent thousands to have it blow up in our face. Outside of the dirty screens, that should not have happened, period. The detector works well as what it was really designed for, nugget hunting. I wish they had never mentioned "coin hunting" It really is only a small, quick adjustment to fix the silver thing. Had not someone noticing that, I would have never found it I think. As a gold jewelry hunter on the salt beach, it does superbly. Well I'm starting to ramble on. I hope your's comes back soon with bonuses.

Mr. Bill

I had always said i wish Fisher would step up quickly when machines are sent with flaws. It is better to step up and say that they are working on a fix, even if they do not have an answer right away, than to let us sit and speculate.
So many issues could have been downgraded by better customer service when it comes to communication. No one expects any secrets let out....just a quick message that......1. Acknowledges the customer has an issue. 2. Update them as it moves along it's natural progression.
I felt half the time they simply would not even acknowledge we had concerns. It may not be the actual case but it most certainly felt like it many times.

Maybe I was misunderstood or didn't make myself clear. I'm sure Fisher did not know about the silver issue when the detectors went out the door. But the cosmetic stuff, scratches on the plastic cuff and black stuff under the screen, they certainly knew about if a human boxed them. What about the old "inspected by 1043"? Someone has to be accountable. I've bought a lot of detectors in the last 40 years. The new Fisher is the only company where I've gotten detectors with cosmetic problems. Had it with an Omega, a T2, and now the Gold Bug. I'm not upset or harshly complaining. I'm sure they'll take care of it. But it is what it is. And in the threads I've read I haven't seen Mike chiming in regarding these problems. Mike loves to come on here and give forum users "what fer" when he see's fit. But I've never myself read a word from him when Fisher screws up. If I've missed something I stand corrected.

True Dat.
Maybe one day they will have one person who comes on the Fisher forums and will make statement when there is an issue with abtch of machines ( verses just the one off failures).
I would appreciate it....and I am sure many others would too.

Apparently mine was not shipped back to me yet.
I guess i need to call to see where it is at...

I want to send mine in.. I think it sucks down by the bed rock. It wont even get 3 inches on a peice of gold. I took a nugget with me to day just to test it out.. The fisher gold bug is a joke.
