Has anyone had the wonky skewed screen fault.

Has anyone had the skewed screen fault on there e trac. I had this fairly common problem on my explorer 2 , i was thinking maybe this fault has been ironed out in the e tracks. I will be ordering an e - trac in 2 months time once the weather picks up a little , and also save a few penny's up by then. Looking at the emulator i can see the e trac is a lot quicker than my old explorer 2 and SE. I hunt iron infested sites and sites with foil / trash , from what i see it looks like it will be a winner on these sites.

I have the Etrac and the screen goes black and cant be seen if it gets hot in the sun. I had the same problem with my Explorer 2 , it is typical of LCD screens. I was hoping on the Etrac it wouldnt do it but it does so in hot weather I try to detect areas under shade.Once the screen has cooled down it is fine. The colour Black is a rediculous colour to make the machine as this just absorbs heat. While it might look pretty, its pretty stupid as far as I am concerned.Seeya Neilo

The screen goes black in temperatures of 30deg.C or 90 deg F and above maybe in your area it doesnt get that hot. I am in australia in summer we get up to 45deg C or 115deg F some years. My screen is straight there is no problem with alignment. My mates Explorer has a crooked screen.seeya Neilo
