Has anyone had any luck with the Factory Jewelry Pattern?

Which pattern would you suggest, the factory Jewelry pattern or one more closed pattern like I see posted here. I have dug a lot of Silver, but I would love to start turning my focus on more Gold. I know I'll be digging more trash, but the Gold to Silver Payoff is huge, thoughts?

I will be using a 6in Excelerator Coil...

If your after gold the more OPEN your disc the better u increase our odds. I have never used any of the pre set programs in four yrs owning the etrac. I just use a custom screen basically just disc out FE 25 and down, so the top 2/3 of my screen is open

Now if I am in a field or trashy yard I use a 100% open screen and run TTF and dig everything above iron

Keep in mind that finding small gold items with the E trac is more than difficult. I've been pretty lucky finding gold rings with mine but the small thin bands do not read as well as gold chains which do not show up at all even if I scrape the coil on them or at any distance ( unless balled up). I'm not talkin trash bout the E as I love mine, but I have read and worked hard to find gold rings in one of my spots and I can tell you this for certain. I find more men's bands which happen to be a bit larger than rings with diamonds.
I highly suggest you put down some rings samples you hope to find and sweep your coil over them.

Oh yes, they can read all over but most tend to run on the left upper section of my graph between 5 to 23 and up down 10 14 ( there is lots of info on this forum for gold numbers) . this will depend mostly on the gold, silver, copper mix or whatever mix they are.

there are other machines that will find small gold better but I really like my E trac and don't want to give up the depth it has in the spot I dig.
