i have. 1863 IH penny 04-27 its in rough shape- but its still a u.s. coin. keep tryin their's still more in the ground.

Yep, indian head pennies. I suspect nickel three cent pieces as well as DEEP small silver coins - half dimes and silver 3 cents might come in there. Also tokens will come in that range, such as Cilvil War tokens. My choice to dig 16-31 would be site dependent. If the signals are shallow and in a trashy park, I will probably pass them up. In a clean homesite, or a spot where those older coins may be, I will dig them.

Yes lots of Indian heads have hit at 26-31 when at depth.A few a bit lower especialy the ones with the worst corrosion,Ray.
