Has anyone ever been treasure hunting at Vero Beach, Fl?

Was at the Disney Vero Beach Resort this weekend. Went from Wabasso beach a south to Sea Grape, found $0.35. I was out there for about 7 hours, had a great time, but got a real bad sun burn. Make sure you use a High SPF sunblock. There were at several other folks out there with detectors, I think the locals hit the beach hard. You might want to pick up these two books to give you an idea of where to go: "Hurricane Treasure: 1715 Beach Sites Revealed" and "Shipwrecks near Wabasso Beach." They are both a little dated, but still a great reference.

Thanks a lot for the info, I think I am going middle of May. I heard you can't walk in the water with the metal detector, I'm a little disappointed about that.
