I have twice been asked to search for lost jewelry on the hospital premises where I work as a Registered Nurse, and once to search for an old manhole cover (where did the name manhole cover come from?) under the asphalt in the parking lot. I did find the ring, and wasn't lucky with the manhole cover. Go figure eh
No, for anything lost at the work place. Several times over the year's fellow workers have asked me to hunt for things like lost jewelry, sprinkler heads and once for an expensive butane lighter. HH jim tn
Heck, I always had a detector in my car. Even asked to instruct the president on how to use his birthday gift...planted wheaties, silver dimes...he was hooked. Maintenance man ran over a ring full of company keys with a snow plow...cold, but got all but a half of one key. One woman ask if I could look for her ring under the picnic table. I got the detector ready and followed her to the area when I noticed something in her tights around her ankle...her RING! What a laugh we had.
I taught one of my supervisors several years back after she purchased an ACE 250. On here first hunt she pulls out an old silver dime. On here second hunt, she got a nice 14K gold ring. I must have been one heck of a good teacher.
Was asked a week ago to locate a telephone co manhole . Recently retired from phone company and they all knew I detected. Found it for them. Was also asked to lo ate a septic tank on an old farm. Asked to detect there for years with no luck getting permission. But after i located his septic tank he said I could detect . Story and pics will come later , have a nice silver collection and still growing from that farm.
Several years ago, I took mine to work to find some keys that had been taken in a burglary. Suspect threw them while being pursued on foot. Heavy ground cover in the area but the AT found them. Patrolmen were happy and so was the sergeant. (By the way, I was the Sergeant).
