Has anyone done any morel mushroom hunting yet???

My hunting partner has already collected 6 lbs of the tasty little fungi. We are headed out to the hunting grounds this saturday for a little roundup. Hopefully I'll come back with a few pounds of those yummy little spores!!!

He has "connections". I was thinking about getting into morel hunting while I lived up in MI, as they get some HUGE ones up there.

Does it help that I'm a cook? I've got a great recipe for a Morel Demi-glace to be used on steak. Any takers?

Just kidding. I have yet to find them up this way but have found some nice puffballs in the last few years. They're nice fried with onions if you find some fresh ones.
