Has anyone detected in the Bahamas? If so, do you have contact info for permits, Etc.

Scooter I hunted there last year about this time, had no problem any place I hunted including behind the Atlantis Hotel and Casino. I took bus from the cruise docks for 2.00 bucks to the beach. The water was too rough to get in and the beach was to crowded to even swing the MD. I was limited to time because of the cruise ship leaving, if you were there late in the evening or early in the morning I am sure you would do fine. Are you flying or going on cruise? Here is an e-mail I copied from a web site dated in 2006 but was never bothered by Security or life guards on beach. One life guard walked down to ask me if I had any luck, but I was down the beach away from all the crowd. Good luck and if you have any questions send me a PM. HH

Take this with you , it can't hurt.

Thanks for the reply. I'll be flying down around the middle of July to spend the week at the Sandles resort for my 20th anniversary. I wasn't going to take any detector, but my wife knows I love the hobby and said I'd be crazy if I didn't. So when you have a green light, you go for it!
