Has anyone been watching that new Travel Channel Show?

I was flipping through the channels tonight and I got hooked on watching this new show called "Best Places to Find Cash and Treasure" on the Travel Channel. They've been showing all sorts of treasure & gem hunting that can be done in the US, and every once and a while they show people metal detecting (I've seen one person using a SeaHunter in FLA). There was a segment on how people have been trying to find Dillinger's $50,000 he stashed outside a lodge in Wisconsin.

Here's a link to the channel's website: Best Places to Find Cash & Treasure

Check it out as you'll get the fever!

I watch them also. They are coming on also on Tuesday nights around 9:00 and 9:30 CST. One of the ones Tuesday night will be on civil war relics.
I noticed the ones with the metal detectors. I sure hope the haphazard swinging was just for the camera; if not they sure missed alot of things.
Very interesting show though.

Yes the wife and I have tivo'd it and watch it all the time. I saw the mad swinging of the MDer's when they were looking for meteorites. I also saw the bottle finding episode that was very interesting. I live on an old farm site in a new home and would love to find the old outhouse site and search for bottles.

Gotta love Becky!! Oh mommy!! The relic episode is good, they pull up some awesome stuff, but one thing missing is they don't show them filling in their holes and they dug some BIG ones!! If a newbie coinshooter saw that, he would think that is the way to recover targets, digging holes with a big, honkin' shovel!!

I liked the fish fossil one.

[size=small]I guess the civil war relic episode has been stirring up some controversy as it takes place in Virginia and their state's legislature had a bill submitted last year that wanted to ban metal detecting. Fortunately it didn't get far but some are afraid it'll stir up some more muck in the future.

I really liked the bit about the Florida gold that can be found the beaches south of the Indian River Inlet -- the MDers were everywhere! lol

They weren't to hot at panning gold either. Maybe they should rename it : " A bored Yuppie Tries Treasurwe Hunting."

Second of all. Huts are 3-5 feet deep and take an hour to open and an hour to fill. So would you want to watch a show about people digging relics or filling in hut holes? Your Iron readings are big deep iron and that
