Has anybody ever experienced this at higher sensitivity?

Hi all, I noticed when I turned my sens. up and lift my coil about waist high off the ground my threshold would disappear? As I lowered my manual sens. the threshold would return? Anybody else ever had this happen? Just wondering if it's nulling out on the ground when I am hunting because of this. Thanks for any info.

As you hold it there at waist high for say,10 seconds, the threshold stays silent?

Yes, and if I start to back the manual sens. down or switch into auto sens. the threshold returns. I will add that I was in a large city when this happen. I am wondering if there was so much emi and interference around and maybe buried iron in the ground that it was effecting it? I am going to play with it around my house today as I live in a remote area and see what happens.

Maybe a stupid question but could it be picking up your pinpointer,phone or belt buckle?
