went to asbury park beach (nj) thursday. wow - talk about waves + sand! Worked the water for about 1hr. Only got 3 signals during that time - 2 of them kept moving so i gave up on them feeling that they were light junk + also that it was very hard to scoop in this type of action. The third signal i got on my 1st scoop - a pull-tab! Being that the current was substantial i didn
 
Sure it does... getting rid of the trash allows you to hear the better deeper targets and you're doing your part to clean up our environment :)
 
The beauty of working in the water and only getting 1-3 targets per hour is that a higher percentage of your targets end up being rings, compared with working the dry stuff. But, be careful out there! - Jim
