Hard travel Case for Excal

New member
I am going to travel to Mexico soon and I will need a hard case for my Excal. I remember there being topics in the past on cases but I can't remember the name brand. Oh, and do you get another case for your travel scoop?

I get the Excal, break down scoop, snorkel and a few other things in the zippered golf travel case.

I saw new hard golf case in a thrift store the other day for $14.00 and thought it would be a great case to carry everything needed for a trip. what part of Mexico are you headed to?

I got it at Wal mart for a reasonable price, you have to add padding on one side but you can get at least two units in it..Case is durable, it's been to the UK twice and to Hawaii 3 times and is going to Hawaii again next week with my Excal and Surf PI Pro inside. I use red bungee's to enclose it as you cannot lock checked baggage HH..Geo

In these guys, here for example I have the important parts of my Tejon, Excal 1000, and my GP 3500, with plenty of room to spare, they are firmly held in place, the case is strong and it has to be as your stuff really gets handled at the airport... HH...Geo

Thats cool.. I'm moving to Puerto Vallarta in November I don't think
there are too many people looking with MD's there..Have fun on your trip..

A Pelican 1620 - Lifetime Warranty -- and the ability to lock it up with a TSA Lock to keep luggage handlers out of it. Indestructible and you can breakdown at least three detectors and an assortment of coils and misc. If you're taking $2,000 - $3000 or more worth of equipment with you..... get the best.

They are about $150-160 and have wheels and a built in handle.
