Hard to find jewelry stamps

Mike's post below got me thinking about a recent find. I dug this 14 K necklace and 10 K pendant recently - ( in a pre-school play area !!). The necklace is easily seen a 14 K stamp on the flat part of the finding.

However, I couldn't find any marking on the pendant but couldn't imagine it not being gold. So I looked with a strong magnifier - regular one didnt work - and found the 10 K right in among the wording just to the left of the Lord's head. And here it is shot through the magnifier.

So be sure to check carefully. Also, took these to the jeweler and he appraised them at $225.00. Think I might try ebay, steve in so az

GREAT pics! Believe me, anything I find is looked at VERY carefully. Funny thing is I did miss one :) I found what I was sure was a junk earring at the beach and never checked for any marks. Sure enough, I was looking through some stuff, found the earring and decided to take a look under a loop... on the post was the tiniest: .925
