hard case?

I'm looking for a company who sells a durable case that I can fit my MXT-300 in with a couple extra coils w/lower rods, DX-1 pinpointer attached, a couple sets of headphones and miscell. diggers , pouches etc. I'd like to pack it to travel whether it be in my car ( out of sight, out of mind) or airplane. My Mother in-law just bought a house in Jamaica so I'm sure our vacations will be there so we want to be prepared. Any info would be greatly appreciated? We just had a big snow storm so nows a good time to research more MDing equipment. HH Jack P.S. Anybody want to go snowshoeing?

I have a mxt pro with the dx-probe a 18x15 coil a 12" and whites 5.3 coil all will fit in White's large hard case I think it sells for $149 you will have to modify the foam if you have any coil larger then the 12" but for me everything fits in great I don't like any soft case.

Now if you want to save a buck or two, go to your local Goodwill, second hand shop and look at the large hard case Samsonite suitcase. Yes, they work great. We used one when we went to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and it fit both detectors along with misc. tools, etc. Seems like it cost us a whopping $4 and it had keys to lock it also. Foam is fairly inexpensive if you go down to your dollar store and buy the waffle foam pad that fits on a bed and cut it to fit the case. Another plus, is that who would think there's over $1000's worth of equipment in a suitcase. Another "woman's ingenuity". HH, Nancy

Great idea, Nancy. I'm fortuante enough to have a couple of large Pelican cases with foam to use, but if I didn't I would probably use your idea.

Another favorite is a hunting bow case, they usually come with the foam. Plenty of room for two detectors and lots of accessories.
